Mixed Age 0-5 Years
Mixed Age 0-5 Years

Mixed-Age Class the core Music Together class, designed for children from birth to age five and is offered with all nine song collections.

Developmental research shows that mixed-age groupings encourage natural, family-style learning. Younger children benefit from watching and imitating older ones, while older children gain confidence by leading the younger ones. This setup also allows families to attend together. Each child participates at their own developmental level—whether through singing, moving, chanting, listening, or exploring instruments. The class includes a variety of fun, relaxed activities for adults and children, offering new ways to make music at home or on the go. The entire family is encouraged to participate, and any caregiver—parent, grandparent, nanny—can bring the child(ren) to class.

Babies Class 0-8 Months at Start of Class
Babies Class 0-8 Months at Start of Class

Babies Class is for infants from birth to 8 months. This class serves as a gentle introduction to Music Together.

Research shows that early exposure to music and movement supports every child’s development. To cater to babies 8 months and younger, Music Together offers two options. Babies can either join a mixed-age class (either with a sibling or on their own) or participate in the Babies Class, which provides a one-semester introduction to the program before transitioning to mixed-age classes.

In this class, your teacher will guide you through a variety of activities designed to engage you and your baby musically, while offering valuable insights into infant music development. Since the babies are not yet mobile, the pace of the class is calmer, allowing the teacher to explain the "why" behind each activity and highlight the musical behaviors emerging in your baby.

Rhythm Kids® 4-8 Years
Rhythm Kids 4-8 Years

Rhythm Kids® for children 4-8 years provides an exciting and engaging opportunity for children to develop their music skills in a fun, active, and age-appropriate environment. A key feature of the program is learning hand drumming, along with singing and movement activities. The class also introduces music-reading readiness. This is a parent-child class, allowing families to actively participate together unless otherwise discussed with the instructor.
